North Kingstown Republicans have controlled Here's what they've accomplished:
Enough is enough; it's time for a change! I have decided to run for the Town Council to make sure we fix these problems. I am unable to watch this council push my taxes even higher (my property taxes just went up to nearly $12,000 from $6,000 despite asking the town to reconsider). While I'm able to pay my tax bill - I will not stand by while many of the citizens who have lived and built this town (most of them elderly and now on a fixed-income), are forced to leave their homes because of these ridiculous taxes. I'm also sick of hearing that our citizens have to regularly boil their drinking water, that our town beach is closed yet again because of fecal coliform contamination, or that we are facing another water shortage when we live next to the Atlantic Ocean. And hearing that 70% of my taxes are going to pay for a bloated school administration is unconscionable. If I'm going to pay that much for educating our children, then our children better have the best education in the state, if not the country. As a father trying to bring up a family in this town, being a entrepreneur and family physician who runs my own businesses, and having been a fifth through eighth grade science teacher in New York City, I have the experience and determination to fix these problems. And as you can see by this site, I'm not afraid to speak out against mediocrity and the lack of vision with which the grand old party has instilled into our town over the last 12+ years in control. I believe North Kingstown could truly be an incredible town with improved services for its citizens, much more easily accessible government, and significantly LOWER property taxes. Let me prove it to you. On
